Man, 35, arrested after ‘targeting 2 mosques’
A London man, 35, was arrested by the Met yesterday on suspicion of a number of crimes including racially aggravated public disorder, threatening to kill people, and causing criminal damage.
Newham Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) tweeted the following statement this afternoon: “Officers arrested a 35-year-old man this morning on suspicion of racially aggravated public disorder, criminal damage, making threats to kill and attempting to cause criminal damage using a plank of wood.
“The arrest comes after two recent incidents at mosques in Newham. A Met Police faith officer is working closely with the two mosques as well as the wider community in Newham.”
