Barking stabbing live: Updates as man, 40, knifed at home in East London

A 40-year-old man has been stabbed in Barking, East London today, April 12 at around 6:12pm. Police were alerted to the stabbing this evening and a crime scene has been put in place. There have been no arrests as of yet and the victim is being treated in hospital, with the severity of his condition currently unknown.

A spokesperson from the Met Police told MyLondon: “Police were called to a property in Dawson Avenue, Barking, at 18.17hrs on Tuesday, 12 April to reports of a stabbing. Officers attended. A man in his 40s was found with stab wounds. He was treated at the scene by paramedics from London Ambulance Service (LAS) before being taken to hospital. We await an update on his condition.

“There have been no arrests. A crime scene has been put in place. Enquiries continue.”
