Around 70 firefighters and 10 fire engines are tackling a blaze at a commercial car dealership on Kings Hall Road in Beckenham. The London Brigade has confirmed that the whole of the first floor and roof of the building is alight, having been alerted to the fire at 1.41am.
Crews from West Norwood, Bromley, Forest Hill, Croydon and other surrounding fire stations are at the scene, but the cause of the fire is not yet known. News of the fire was first reported on the London Fire Brigade Twitter account @LondonFire in a post at 2.25am on Friday.
The post read: “Ten fire engines and around around 70 firefighters have been called to a fire on Kings Hall Road in #Beckenham. More info to follow.”
