Recap: M20, A2, A20 traffic updates as Operation Brock caused chaos in Dover and Folkestone

Operation Brock caused chaos on Kent roads for a third day today (April 3). There were severe delays on the M20, which was closed eastbound due to congestion caused by Operation Brock.

There were also long delays on the A2, A20, and in surrounding villages as a result. The long queues were caused due to the motorway being used to hold lorries heading for channel crossings between Junction 8 for Leeds Castle and Maidstone Services and Junction 9 for Ashford.

The M20 was closed to all non-freight traffic heading eastbound. The London-bound side of the road remained open to all traffic. A diversion route was in place for all non-freight vehicles.
