The M11 northbound in London was reopened at around 1.20am today after being shut for around 90 minutes following a three-car collision. The road was closed from J4 A406 North Circular to J5 A1168 Chigwell Lane (Loughton).
Emergency services were present at the scene but it is not known whether anyone suffered any injuries in the road traffic collision.
There was stationary traffic for a time and some traffic was trapped within the closure due to the incident, which occurred just before midnight on Sunday.
National Highways reported that the event was expected to clear between 1.30am and 1.45am today and this corresponded to the release time of traffic in the area.
National roads information service Inrix had initially reported: “M11 northbound closed, stationary traffic due to accident from J4 A406 North Circular to J5 A1168 Chigwell Lane (Loughton). Some traffic is trapped within the closure.”
