Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway viewers were rolling in the aisles between their sofas and their living room doors this evening at a hilarious prank. Tonight’s show featured the usual array of japery and whimsical hijinks, but this time fans were treated to a particularly awkward skit.
The skit in question involved a waiter at a nice restaurant being fed lines by Ant and Dec to wind up a customer during their fancy dinner – and boy was it fun to watch! Viewers took to social media in between breaks of hysterical laughter to share in their merriment.

One viewer said: “Troy is a great actor!” A simple yet effective assessment. Another tweeted: “Give Troy a BAFTA. He is incredible.”
The discourse flowed onto the timeline like the Thames at high tide and soon enough Twitter was full of excited viewers praising the skit for its hilarity. “I hope they paid the actor playing the waiter a load of money, cause that was hella awkward,” said one viewer.
“I haven’t laughed so much in a very long time! #SaturdayNightTakeaway absolutely brilliant” added another. One viewer even suggested Troy be given the ultimate prize, writing: “Troy the waiter deserves a Takeaway getaway for this performance.”
