South-east London has been named in the top 10 of the UK’s most gadget-conscious areas of the country.
Its performance in recycling tech, to cut e-waste puts it ninth in a table by mobile phone recycling comparison site Compare and Recycle.
The 2022 shortlist has Newcastle upon Tyne that claimed the number one spot, close second was Nottingham and Cardiff third.

When discarded, phones, tablets and smart wearables contaminate the environment as metals within the devices are left to pollute landfills which causes devastating impact on ecology and communities, say Compare and Recycle.
