Police are appealing for help to identify a man who is critically ill in a North London hospital. The man was seen by members of the public in Hornsey “behaving erratically” and “grabbing people in the street” on Wednesday March 16.

Police and paramedics attended Green Lanes West at the junction with West Green Road and detained the man under the Mental Health Act. They took him to a North London hospital at 7.42pm.

The Met Police says officers didn’t use force to detain the man and he was not arrested.
