When you think EastEnders, you think of Ian Beale. A man beyond measure, The Beale has had an innumerable number of wives, tragic storylines, and iconic memeable moments during his tenure in Albert Square. But did you know his personal life is just as wild? Well, you’re about to find out.
In 2020, it was announced that Adam and his wife Beverley Sharp had separated. The pair had been married since 1998 and share two adult children together – Samuel and Jessica. Adam bounced back from the divorce by splashing tens of thousands on a flashy motorhome.
Photos published by The Mirror revealed the gorgeous interior of the Ian Beale actor’s new home, which typically sells for £93,000, according to a spokesperson for motorhome company Bürstner. The purchase reportedly infuriated Beverly, who was reportedly “struggling for money” at the time.

Bev, who shares two children with Adam, has reportedly received food parcels from her family. One of her friends told The Sun: “She has really struggled financially and relied on food donations on occasion recently from family and friends.”
Meanwhile Adam, 52, used his sabbatical from his role in EastEnders to gallivant around the country in the brand new motorhome. The actor was very active on Instagram during this period, posting many a photo of himself biking and exercising, sometimes with fellow Albert Square alumnus Jake Wood.
It served as a chance for Adam to reconnect with nature, and the EastEnders legend did it in style. His motorhome was equipped with several wicked cool features. We’re talking plush leather sofas, sexy cushions, and (depending on what model he got) a drop-down bed.
There was mood lighting for some chill vibes after a day of cycling with Max Branning, a hail-proof roof, a full double bed and – get this – underfloor heating. Nomadland this is not. You’re probably wondering if you can cop a model similar to Adam’s, well sadly second-hand ones aren’t much cheaper.
Motorhomes with 10,000 miles on the clock typically go for between £75,000 and £80,000. In fact, Adam’s motorhome was arguably more sophisticated than most actual homes.
Campervans by Bürstner, a German company, are described as having “modern building techniques with ergonomically devised interiors to create a motorhome that not only excels in drivability but has comfort and relaxation at the very forefront of its design” on the Camper UK website. You can’t really begrudge Adam his incredibly swanky caravan as he has been on EastEnders since the very first episode in 1985, so he probably needed the break.
