Chadwell Heath: Boy, 16, dies after stabbing on a London bus as murder investigation launched

A teenage boy has died early this morning after being stabbed on board of a bus in East London. Police rushed to the scene on High Road, Chadwell Heath yesterday afternoon (Monday, March 14).

The young victim, aged just 16, was rushed to hospital fighting for his life but was confirmed to have died this morning (Tuesday, March 15). Police have now launched a murder investigation.

Yesterday, an 18-year-old was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in custody.

They said in a statement: “A 16-year-old boy was found with a stab injury and taken to hospital in a critical condition; he sadly died in the early hours of this morning. His family have been informed.”
