A family have been left ‘heartbroken’ after their beloved pet French bulldog was ‘beaten to death’ after being abducted, along with their other Frenchie, from their home in South London. Tamsin Jacques, the distraught owner of Misty and Mya, said they were abducted from her home in Morden while she was out the house on the evening of March 5.
Yesterday (March 13) Tamsin and her family were briefly reunited with Misty after she was handed in to a vets in Orpington. However, less than an hour later Misty, aged three, died from internal injuries which vets believed were probably caused by ‘beating’.
Tamsin told MyLondon: “We were so relieved to have her back. When we got to the vets she came running over to see us, absolutely ecstatic and wanting cuddles. She seemed fine, absolutely nothing to suggest she was injured. We got in the car and 20 minutes into the journey she started pooing and vomiting. We rushed her to an emergency vets where she passed from internal trauma. We’re absolutely heartbroken, they’re family.”
Tasmin is now worried that Mya, who is still missing, may come to similar harm and is pleading with people to help find her ‘before she’s killed’. She described Mya as white with a black face and said she struggles with hearing and has a nervous personality. She said Mya requires medication as she has alopecia, so is probably quite bald at the moment.

They believe Mya may be in Orpington or Croydon and have asked people in those areas to keep an eye out for dogs matching that description. Tasmin said: “We need to get Mya home. Misty is home next week in a box. I’m not giving up.”
Metropolitan Police said they are aware of the dog thefts and are carrying out enquiries.
