ITV Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway viewers ‘fuming’ over Dec’s cheeky apology

As far as Saturday night entertainment goes, it doesn’t get much better than ITV’s Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway. This classic family show sees everyone’s favourite pint-sized Geordies entertain audiences with prize giveaways, hilarious pranks and audience interaction in abundance.

The show entered its 18th series this year, and fans are still delighted to tune in and watch every week. On tonight’s show, fans were all saying the same thing about one particular moment after the Geordie duo issued a cheeky apology over a game on the show.

Ant and Dec have been one of the nation’s favourite double acts for some time

Tonight, the show brought back the popular Ring My Bell game, which involves the show ringing audience members’ doorbells. Whilst many were happy to see this game return, dog owners were not so pleased. The game made its debut two weeks ago and led to complaints from people who said their dogs had gone mad barking at the TV.

Dec acknowledged the problem, saying: “Social media was flooded with messages saying their dogs went mad. Listen guys we just want to apologise.” He then added: “But we’re not that sorry because we’re playing it again this week!” This cheeky apology left some fans of the show annoyed.
