Boy, 16, fighting for life after bus stabbing in east London

A

teenage boy is fighting for life after being stabbed in broad daylight on a bus in east London.

The victim, 16, was knifed once onboard the bus in High Road, Chadwell Heath at 4pm on Monday.

Police officers found the 16-year-old boy suffering a stab injury and he was taken by paramedics to hospital in a life-threatening condition.

Scotland Yard said his next of kin are aware.

An 18-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in custody.
