Jordan McEneff has swapped the prospect of playing on the billiard table at the Emirates alongside his team-mates Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe for the bumpy pitch at Tolka Park, for now at least. “It’s not a carpet by any means but you can play football on it,” McEneff remarks matter-of-factly, back at his home in Portmarnock after a morning training with Shelbourne nearby. “If the ball bobbles over your foot, just get on with it.”
