BBC EastEnders: Roger Griffith’s life from forgotten roles in The Bill and Holby City and time with wife and three children

For the past four years, EastEnders viewers have come to know Roger Griffith as the actor who plays Mitch Baker in their favourite soap. Really hardcore EastEnders fans might even be able to recall him playing a certain DI Riddick during a brief stint between 2004-2005.

The 61-year-old actor has around 35 years worth of experience acting on screen, and has been at some point or other part of a number of the UK most watched TV soaps – EastEnders included!

His career began to flourish in the 1990s as he landed roles in several TV series’ including Birds of a Feather, Finney, Chef!, Captain Butler and Mike & Angelo. He was even in and out of The Bill on two occasions between 1992 and 2000.

In his first appearance in the show, he played a character called Malcolm Grant for just one episode. He then returned to the show in 1999, playing the role of D.S. Paul Timpney for a total of five episodes.
