Mikel Arteta has been given the green light to beat rivals Chelsea to the signing of the next English star to breakthrough in the Premier League.
Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise has shown that he is one of the most creative under-23 players in Europe so far this season.
According to Sun Sport , both Arsenal and Chelsea are chasing the signature of the Crystal Palace midfielder despite him only joining the South London side from Championship outfit Reading in the summer.
Edu is set for a busy transfer window in the summer, and the recent performances that Olise has been displaying should persuade the Brazillian to pursue a deal.

Olise has primarily been used as a right-winger this season and thrived in the role after struggling with an injury early into the season.
The Gunners have been linked with right-wingers in the summer due to the uncertainly of Nicolas Pepe’s future, and Olise would certainly be the perfect replacement.

Arsenal were most recently linked with Club Brugge’s Noa Lang, however, Olise would be the better option due to his Premier League experience.
The youngster can also play as an attacking midfielder or a number eight which was seen during his Reading days, and it would certainly benefit Arsenal.
While Olise has yet to complete a full season in the Premier League he has already shown the abilities that will shape him into one of the best players in the Premier League in the future.
The Englishman’s versatility would also be a big benefit for the Gunners, if the north London side qualifies for a European competition next season, as the squad is thin and the increase of games will certainly take its toll on a small squad.
Other clubs would also benefit from his signature but Arsenal could have the advantage in signing him due to Vieira’s history with the north London side and the affection both parties have for each other.
