Substitute Jairo Riedewald – only making his fifth appearance of the season – then came off the bench to score the winner for the Eagles, burning past Jack Bonham from a corner.
Palace now go into the hat for the quarter-final draw for the second time in the last four seasons. They’ll find out their last-eight opponents on Thursday evening.
