Boys, 15 and 13, to appear in court after being charged with South West London robbery

Two boys aged 15 and 13 are set to appear in court tomorrow charged with robbery following an incident in Wandsworth last week. The Metropolitan Police announced that detectives have charged the two teens after another boy was allegedly assaulted and robbed in Roehampton.

Police were called at 7pm on Sunday, February 27, to Wanborough Drive in Roehampton following reports that a teenage boy had been assaulted by a group of people, who had stolen his jacket as well as other personal possessions.

The two teenage boys were arrested on Monday, February 28, following the alleged robbery and are due to appear at Wimbledon Youth Court on Wednesday, March 2. The investigation remains ongoing.

The Metropolitan Police said: “We’re aware of a video circulating in relation to this incident. Members of the public and media are reminded the court proceedings are now active and to be mindful of sharing material and information that could be deemed prejudicial.”
