Man rushed to hospital after ‘serious’ crash with London bus

A man has been rushed to hospital with a neck injury after a serious crash with a bus in South West London. The accident, involving a bus and a car, happened on Nine Elms Lane, Wandsworth shortly before 10pm last night (Monday, February 28).

The road was completely closed at the junction with Ponton Road, between Wandsworth Road and Queenstown Road due to the collision, described by police at the time as ‘serious’.

The man, who was an occupant of the car, was rushed to hospital with a neck injury. Police have since confirmed his injuries are not life threatening or changing.

Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade were also called to the scene.

A spokesperson for the Met said: “A male occupant of the car was taken to hospital with a suspected neck injurty. His condition was not life threatening or changing.”

Police have said that no arrests have been made since the incident, although enquiries continue.
