Karl Hein’s injury

Arsenal loanee Karl Hein has suffered a setback in his development away from north London.

The Estonian international joined Championship club Reading on loan during the January window and following a string of convincing performances for the Royals, the 19-year-old now faces a spell out on the sidelines after sustaining a freak injury, with manager Paul Ince providing more clarity on the situation.

“[Hein] fell in his house and took the ligament off his bone in his thumb, so they’re talking four to six weeks out if he doesn’t need surgery or two months if it does.” Ince said.

Carragher highlights Arsenal’s ‘difficult’ problem

Arsenal are making clear progress under Mikel Arteta and are in a very strong position to finish in this season’s top four.

Liverpool hero Jamie Carragher however believes that despite the improvements made, the gap between themselves and the elite sides within the division is still huge.

“I think what Liverpool and Man City are doing, not just this season, but what they have done for the past three or four seasons, it makes it really difficult for Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham and Arsenal,” Carragher said to Sky Sports.

“I mean we are critical of those teams, at times, for not challenging the top. But what Klopp and Guardiola are doing is out of this world – it’s very difficult for other teams.”

White’s reaction to Bielsa’s sacking

Following the news that Marcelo Bielsa has left his role at Leeds United, Ben White, who used to play under the Argentinian, has reacted to the story via his Instagram account.

White posted a heart emoji, added with a picture of Leeds celebrating their promotion to the English top-flight in 2020 on his story.
