Each year, the Metropolitan Police succeed in arresting and bringing to justice thousands of London’s worst criminals. However, on a few occasions, there have been a rare few who have slipped through the net and continue to walk our streets.
The charity Crimestoppers is an independent organisation that keeps note of the most wanted criminals in all areas of the UK, and allows people to report crime anonymously. It also offers advice for preventing crime and their international appeals have so far led to over 140,000 arrests.
As of February 2022, their list of most wanted criminals in London include a man accused of being involved in a double stabbing and a fraudster that conned an estimated 20,000 people out of money. Here is a list of our city’s most wanted and the reasons the Metropolitan Police are looking to catch them.
