London Luton Airport: Wizz Air issues update for flights to Ukraine, Moldova and Russia

Wizz Air has announced all flights to and from Ukraine and Russia have been temporarily suspended “until further notice”.

Meanwhile, the airline’s flights to and from Moldova will now land and take off from a Romanian airport.

It follows airspace closures in Ukraine and Moldova, and a Russian ban on British airlines entering and crossing its airspace after the UK sanctioned Russia for the invasion of Ukraine.

Wizz said it is “continuously monitoring the situation” and “actively working on providing you the best possible assistance”.

To avoid long waiting times to speak to an agent, you are instead advised to:

  • Follow the guidance received from Wizz and utilize the self-service solutions available for you directly from your Wizz Air account
