Bromley stabbing: Live updates as boy, 16, rushed to hospital after fight on high street

A teenager has been rushed to hospital after a stabbing in South London.

Police were called to Adenmore Road, Catford, at around 4.20pm on Friday (February 25) after reports of a group of males fighting.

London Ambulance Service (LAS) dispatched a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and an air ambulance.

The victim, aged 16, was treated at the scene and taken to a major trauma centre. His condition was assessed in hospital as non-life-threatening.

Police arrested one male on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

A Section 60 order has been authorised and enquiries continue, a Met spokesperson said.

A cordon is in place on Bromley Road and three buses – the 208, 320 and N199 – are on diversion.

No traffic is being allowed through at this time, and residents are advising others to avoid the area if they can.
