The Gunners welcomed Wolverhampton Wanderers to the Emirates Stadium on Thursday night in a crucial Premier League match.
Mikel Arteta’s side were 1-0 down in the early exchanges following a huge mistake by Gabriel Magalhaes, but they responded well in the second-half. Substitute Nicolas Pepe equalised in the 82nd minute before Jose Sa scored an own goal in the dying embers of the clash to hand Arsenal an important 2-1 win.
The victory leaves the north London outfit just one point behind fourth-placed Manchester United, who have played two more league fixtures. They now have more than a week to prepare for a visit to local rivals Watford who are currently sitting in the relegation places.
Away from the pitch, Arsenal are still looking to add to their squad ahead of what is looking like a busy summer transfer window.
