A stalker who turned up at British tennis star Emma Raducanu’s house three times has left her feeling the need to “constantly look over her shoulder”, a court has heard.
Amrit Magar, 35, from Harrow, was handed a five-year restraining order on Wednesday, February 23, and ordered to wear an electronic tag after leaving gifts at the tennis player’s Bromley home.
One one occasion Magar, who is originally from Nepal, posted a card through her letterbox with a hand drawn map of the 23 miles he had walked from his home to hers.
The former delivery driver also decorated a tree in her front garden with Christmas lights and left her a bag of other decorations by the front door.
On another occasion he left a bouquet of flowers.
Bromley Magistrates Court heard that Magar left Ms Raducanu feeling the need to “constantly look over her shoulder” and no longer “safe in her own home”.

Prosecutor Denise Clewes read Ms Raducanu’s victim statement to the court.
She said: “The incidents made her feel very apprehensive if she goes out.
“Her parents are reluctant to let her go out on her own.”
Magar was arrested after Ms Raducanu’s father Ian was alerted by their doorbell camera.
He noticed a trainer that Magar had taken from the porch as a souvenir was missing and followed him in his car.
Last month, Magar was found guilty of stalking between November 1 and 4 December.
District Judge Sushil Kumar imposed an order that bans Magar from contacting Ms Raducanu or her parents, coming within a mile of their street and attending any sports ground, stadium or training facility where she is in competition or attending to train.
He has an eight-week curfew between 9pm and 6am monitored by an electronic tag and has been sentenced to an 18-month community order, including 200 hours of unpaid work.
