Man, 52, charged with murder after police discover body in West London flat

A 52-year-old man has been charged with murder following the discovery of a body in West London. Steven Wallace, 50, was found dead in his Fulham flat on Barclay Close just after 4pm on Tuesday February 15. Police officers were forced to break into the flat after concerns were raised for Steven’s welfare.

They found him inside but tragically he was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist police officers. This morning on Sunday February 20 Gary Curran, 52, of no fixed address, was charged with Steven’s murder after being arrested on Saturday. He has been remanded in custody to appear at Wimbledon Crown Court on Monday February 21.

Detective Chief Inspector Katherine Goodwin, from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said: “We are still very keen to build a further picture of Stephen’s life and his movements before his death.
