Shay Dunster, from Tredegar, Blaenau Gwent, was born without a left hand or wrist and was bullied in school to the “point that he doubted himself and wanted to give up”.
He also struggles with some daily activities like putting on his socks, doing his laces up and carrying things.
But that didn’t stop him from excelling in his favourite sport, rugby, and scoring an incredible 11 tries at a tournament at the age of nine. His success story was picked up by ITV show Good Morning Britain who interviewed Shay about his amazing try haul.
Now his family and friends are raising money for the youngster to have a special prosthetic called a ‘Hero Arm’ which he believes will give his confidence a significant boost.
