Burnt Oak murder live: Updates as man in 20s stabbed to death outside North London Tube station

A man in his 20s has been stabbed to death in North West London today (February 18).

Officers from the Metropolitan Police were called to Watling Avenue, Burnt Oak, Edgware by the Tube station at around 5pm on Friday to reports of the stabbing.

The Met, along with the London Ambulance Service, attended the scene where they found a man, believed to be aged in his 20s with stab wounds. Despite efforts of paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Formal identification has yet to be confirmed, but the next of kin have been told. The Met say they will be supported by specialist officers.

A crime scene remains in place and no arrests have been made at this early stage, while enquiries continue.

Burnt Oak Tube station has been closed while the cordon is in place.
