Live A123 updates as main road near Ilford shut after man in his 30s stabbed


The A123 near Ilford station has been shut after a man was stabbed.

Traffic reports of the closure came in at 8.42 am this morning (February 13) after police were called to Cranbrook Road, with diversions in place as the man was taken to hospital.

Traffic monitoring programme INRIX said: A123 Cranbrook Road both directions. between Ilford Station and Wellesley Road. Police incident. Road closed. Diversion in operation – affecting eleven bus routes.

Cranbrook Road, between Ilford Station and Wellesley Road, was closed in both directions.

The man’s condition is not thought to be life-threatening, police said.

A diversion has been put in place which has affected 11 bus routes.
