Prince William is one of the UK’s luckiest jetsetters, flying around the world all year in his capacity as a future King. Recently, the Duke of Cambridge completed a trip to Dubai, where he attended Expo2020 (the event was postponed due to Covid, hence the name). But some snooping of the staff in charge of delivering the event reveals one of the team is literally named Kate Middleton – what are the chances!
Kate is the Lead Senior Event Manager of National Day, and said her responsibilities include “putting together a project plan and risk assessment for the day, scoping creative and exciting content for the day with a focus on the dance, music and performance, as well as overall project management.”

Prince William took on the solemn duty of travelling to Dubai at the request of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. The short trip saw Prince William undertake royal duties which looked at the importance of sustainability, the environment and the preservation of wildlife. The Duke also visited the Expo 2020 Dubai which focused on the incredible work The Earthshot Prize has done and continues to do.
As the engagements are now at an end, Prince William’s official social media accounts have released images from the trip, and there is one in particular that has gained a lot of attention. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Instagram shared a slideshow of nine images with their 13.4 million followers in which they thanked the UAE for having them.
The post read: “Thank you for a wonderful day in the UAE! From visiting the Jubail Mangroves and Jebel Ali Port to seeing our Earthshot finalists and celebrating the UK National Day @expo2020dubai – it was great to spend time celebrating sustainability, collaboration and innovation.”

Before adding: “And also to see this police car…!”, making reference to the last image of Prince William grinning behind his mask standing next to a very hi-tech looking police car.
Royal fans were quick to point out how amazing the vehicle was. One said: “Think we need to up our game in the car stakes your highness”, while another asked: “Wow that is an amazing police car, very futuristic! Is it an electric engine?” A third fan joked: “They should have let you have a ride!”
Prince William is very well-known for his love of everything from cars to motorbikes and has even spoken out about his need to tone down his habit as it “frightened the life out of the Queen”.
