A40 Oxford Street westbound blocked after collision – latest updates

The A40 Oxford Street is currently blocked westbound due to a road traffic collision in the early hours of Monday morning (February 7).

Traffic information service Inrix confirmed the incident at 5.40am.

The collision took place at the junction between Rathbone Place and Soho Street, leading to Soho Square.

Inrix said traffic is only light at present, although this is expected to build as the Monday morning commute gets under way.

No details are immediately available on the circumstances surrounding the collision, or whether there are any resulting injuries.

Diversions are in place for bus services 55, 73, 98 and 390 (and night buses N8, N25, N55, N98 and N207), via Euston Road and Great Portland Street, Inrix said.
