A person was hit by a train in Hertfordshire.
Services were blocked from Potters Bar to Hitchin after the incident this afternoon (Saturday, February 5)
The incident caused disruption to services which run between Moorgate and Stevenage, Moorgate and Welwyn Garden City, London Kings Cross and Kings Lynn, London Kings Cross and Ely.

A spokesperson for Great Northern Rail, which operates on the line, is asking customers to plan an alternate route or to avoid travelling until later this evening.
Great Northern Rail tweeted: “It is with great sadness that we report a person has been hit by a train between Potters Bar and Hitchin.
“All lines are blocked between these stations whilst the emergency services work to deal with this incident.”
