A man was found dead on a South London road just after midday today.
The London Ambulance Service was called at 12.11pm on Thursday February 3 to reports of the incident on Charterhouse Road.
A post on social media described the scene as one that ‘no one needs to stumble across with children’.

Comments allege the man had a heart attack on his way back from the shops, although this has not been confirmed by emergency services.
“Terribly sad. His shopping was still next to him! You just never know how quickly life is over,” a user wrote.
Another claimed that their son had given the man CPR as he lay dying. They said: “My son was the one who was first there and gave CPR, he worked on him for ten minutes before the ambulance got there, we are all very sad and sending our thoughts to all friends and family.” And when people asked how their son was, they added: ‘He’s okay – shaken up and extremely sad the man passed.’
Others spoke about what a “lovely” and well-liked” person the man was, with one adding: “He was such a lovely man the jokes we had xx.”

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 12.11pm today (February 3) to reports of an incident on Charterhouse Road, Bromley.
“We sent an ambulance crew, two medics in cars, an emergency responder, an incident response officer, and an advanced paramedic.
“Sadly, a man died at the scene.”
