There has been a serious accident on the M25 involving several cars and a lorry, according to reports.
Following the incident, there remains severe delays and queueing traffic for seven miles due to recovery work.
It has not yet been disclosed whether anyone has been seriously hurt in the incident.
An earlier update from traffic monitoring website Inrix said the lorry has gone into the central reservation.
Lane one (of four) remains closed for recovery after traffic was released at 12.00pm, following an earlier accident around 10.40am.
Traffic was temporarily stopped due to the crash in lane three and four.
