A406 North Circular reopens after late night crash saw driver trapped in car – RECAP

The A406 North Circular in Ealing has reopened after a late night crash left a driver trapped in an upside down car.

Traffic monitoring website Inrix confirmed the road has been closed due to an accident, from Tudor Way to Kingsbridge Avenue. The road has been closed since around 12.30am on Thursday (February 3).

Police said the driver had to be freed from the crashed vehicle by fire fighters – but has no serious injuries.

However, the driver has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving, said Met Police Roads and transport officers, on twitter.

The tweet featured photos that showed the a vehicle upside down, on its roof, in the middle of the road.

Traffic website Inrix reports that the road has now reopened.
