Person hit by train between Reading and London Paddington causes all lines to close – updates

All lines have been closed after a person was hit by a train between Reading and London Paddington this afternoon (February 2).

Many routes have been affected with trains being cancelled, delayed or even suspended.

Disruption is expected to last until approximately 6.30pm.

In a Tweet posted shortly after 3.40pm, Great Western Railway said: “Due to a person hit by a train between Reading and London Paddington all lines are blocked. Trains services running to and from these stations may be cancelled, delayed or revised.

“Disruption is expected until 17:15 02/02. Check before you travel here https://journeycheck.com/greatwesternrailway/ ”
