An 84-year-old woman has died after she was found with multiple injuries at a house in Enfield.
Police have since launched a murder investigation after being called to Stainton Road at 2.15am this morning (Sunday, January 30).
Officers found pensioner Lesma Jackson, 84, suffering from a number of injuries and she was pronounced dead a short time later.
A 50-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
The man and Lesma were known to each other, a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said.
The arrested man was taken to a police station in North London where he remains in custody.
