Barking Fire live: Updates as 25 firefighters tackle blaze as ground floor of East London shisha bar ‘completely alight’

Firefighters are tackling a serious fire in East London.

Four fire engines and 25 firefighters rushed to the scene on Creek Road in Barking, East London today (January 31).

The London Fire Brigade tweeted that the ground floor of the industrial unit is “completely alight”.

It stated: “Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters have been called to a fire at an industrial unit on Creek Road in Barking.

“The ground floor of a two-storey commercial industrial unit used as a shisha bar is completely alight.

“The Brigade was called at 1359. Fire crews from East Ham, Plaistow, Ilford and Dagenham fire stations attended the scene.

“The cause of the fire is not known at this time.”
