Arsenal news and transfers LIVE: Aubameyang confirmed, double contract plans, Lamptey issue

Yesterday was transfer deadline day!

The Gunners finally completed a signing in the January window, bringing in American defender Auston Trusty to the club from MLS side Colorado Rapids.

Trusty will spend the remainder of the campaign with the Rapids, who are also owned by Stan Kroenke, before linking up with the rest of Mikel Arteta’s squad over the summer.

However, technical director Edu garnered considerable criticism after the Brazilian transfer chief was unable to bring in a top-class centre-forward following the failed pursuit of Dusan Vlahovic – who joined Serie A giants Juventus instead.

The north Londoners offloaded a number of fringe players during the winter window, allowing the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Calum Chambers and Sead Kolasinac to leave, meaning there has been a lot of wage space freed up ahead of the summer.

Stay tuned as football.london brings you all the latest ongoing at the Emirates Stadium.
