5 London Underground trains vandalised: Updates after ‘Stones thrown’ at Central line Tubes mistaken for ‘gun shot’

A London Underground train window has been cracked after a number of stones were thrown at Tube services on the Central Line.

Video footage uploaded to Twitter appears to show a fractured window on a Central line Tube this evening (Friday, January 28).

At first, one commuter thought the glass had been shot at as the carriage was passing through East Acton Station.

A Transport for London spokesperson said: “The Central line experienced minor delays following reports of stones being thrown at trains in the Acton area.

“Five trains were damaged and were taken back to the depot. We are working with BTP to investigate this incident.”
