A huge police presence appeared near Waterloo Bridge this evening (January 27).
Met Police cars and officers, as well as the London Ambulance Service, were gathered around the Tower Lifeboat station.
Ambulance crews were spotted wearing lifejackets – it is not known whether anyone entered the water.
A police cordon was also put up around the area.
Further information about the emergency incident is not yet known.
The Metropolitan Police Service, City of London Police, and the London Ambulance Service have both been contacted for more information.
