Women’s Team News: Filis, Snerle and Cissoko start against Chelsea

Olli Harder has named his team for this evening’s Barclays FA Women’s Super League match against Chelsea at Kingsmeadow.

Mel Filis, Emma Snerle and Hawa Cissoko all start for the Hammers in west London, as they look to pick up a second win of the week.

Cissoko returns to the team after serving a two-match suspension, after being sent off against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday 16 January 2022.

Dagny Brynjarsdóttir misses out through illness, whilst Abbey-Leigh Stringer and Gilly Flaherty are named on the substitutes bench.

All of the action from Kingsmeadow gets underway at 7pm, and you can watch it all unfold on BBC iPlayer, BBC Sport website and the BBC Red Button.

It means Anna Leat will start in goal for the Hammers, whilst the returning Cissoko partners Lucy Parker and Grace Fisk in defence.

Kate Longhurst and Katerina Svitkova continue in their roles as wing-backs, and are supported in midfield by Zaneta Wyne, Filis and Snerle.

Evans will then line-up alongside Claudia Walker, who will be looking to add to her goal tally after scoring against Everton on Sunday.

On the bench, Emily Moore is joined alongside Flaherty, Stringer, Lois Joel, Brooke Cairns and Halle Houssein.

West Ham United: Leat; Fisk (c), Parker, Cissoko; Longhurst, Wyne, Svitkova; Snerle, Filis, Evans, Walker
Subs: Moore, Stringer, Flaherty, Joel, Cairns, Houssein.
