Investigators were still on the scene Monday where emergency crews responding to a South London vehicle fire found a body Saturday night .

Crews made the grisly discovery in the west ditch of Manning Drive, between White Oak and Wonderland roads, about 9 p.m. Saturday, London police said.

Investigators have ruled the death suspicious, but haven’t identified the deceased. A police spokesperson said there wasn’t any additional information to release Monday.

Fire officials and police were still present and a nearby stretch of Manning Drive remained closed Monday morning.

The regional coroner’s office and the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office are helping the London police major crimes unit with the probe.
