Charlton forward Josh Davison has joined Swindon Town on loan.
The 22-year-old could be a free agent this summer although the Addicks have an option to extend by a further 12 months.
Davison has scored five goals in 23 matches for the Addicks this season but his game time has been reduced in recent weeks with teenager Mason Burstow breaking on to the first-team scene as well as Chuks Aneke re-signing from Birmingham City.
“This is just a good opportunity for him,” Charlton manager Johnnie Jackson told the South London Press. “He’s found it difficult to get games. We’ve got a lot of competition in his position.
“His attitude has been outstanding even when he has not been involved or been left out. He has just got on with it and trained hard. We want to try and help the player as well, it’s really important he goes and plays some football.
“Swindon are a club that is doing well and hopefully he should play every week – that will be really good for his progression and help his career.”
