South London GP surgery cat that won’t leave waiting room

Photos of a sleepy cat enjoying a nap in a South London GP surgery has won the hearts of people on the Internet.

The unknown cat was photographed at a doctor’s surgery in Lewisham looking extremely cosy on a blue chair.

The chair, which is typically one used by patients waiting to see the doctor, appears to make the perfect bed for the moggie.

Whats more it seems that the feline is a regular visitor, with a sign on the wall above the chair, which reads: “Notice regarding the cat.”

Hilariously the sign continues: “We are aware that the cat is frequently in the health centre and we do all we can to remove it but i comes back every time there is the opportunity to do so.”

The message continues: “Please do not touch the cat and if you do then will do so at your own risk.”

The photos of the cat and sign have been shared in multiple Facebook groups and it is thought that the surgery in question is Lee Health Centre in Lewisham.

It is not known exactly when the photo was taken but one person commented that they had not seen the cat in the surgery for sometime, perhaps because of Covid.

Commenting on the post one person wrote: “Well the cat is definitely first in the queue, I wonder if it’s been told it’s not the vets!!”
