ITV The Chase: Fans floored by ‘stunning’ contestant – but can’t believe she gets ‘easiest question ever’ wrong

The Chase fans are in disbelief this evening after a contestant got a question about one of Britain’s favourite boy bands completely wrong.

Tonight’s instalment of the hit ITV game show (January 14) saw contestants Simon, Carly, Steph and George take no chaser Paul Sinha in a bid to take home a cash prize.

Within seconds of the show starting, fans flocked to Twitter gushing over ‘stunning’ quizzer Carly – a 27-year-old from Bristol.

But during her cash-builder, the conversation quickly turned to one of her incorrect answers – which had some viewers in disbelief and others in hysterics.

Carly left viewers starry-eyed

Host Bradley Walsh asked her a question about a former member of Take That, to which Carly interjected: “George Michael.”

Viewers couldn’t belief their ears, with many going straight to social media to voice their thoughts.

One said: “Take That….. George Michael????”

A second added: “Yes, Bradley, she is a better player than that… for someone who thought George Michael joined Take That.”

A third chimed in: “George Michael was in Take That apparently… according to #TheChase.”

Earlier this week, fans of the show were in stitches when Bradley Walsh had to remind contestant Richard that he was the host.

Appearing a little nervous when being welcomed on to the show by Brad, Richard, who also goes by the name DJ Ricardo, said “welcome” in response to his host.
