Police hunt man, 38, who is ‘a risk to young children’ and known for committing offences on London Underground

Police are hunting a wanted man who has been deemed a risk to young children and is known for committing offences on the London Underground.

Mohammed Shahid Ali, 38, is wanted on a recall to prison after failing to comply with the conditions of his release.

Members of the public who spot Ali should not approach him, and instead call 999 immediately.

Officers say that Ali had been living in the Newham area, but his last confirmed location was Tilbury Town – and that he is known to commit offences on the railway and Tube networks.

He frequents the City of London and Victoria Park, Tower Hamlets – as well as having links to Kent, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk.

Ali is described as having grey and curly receding hair which is messy on the sides, and has a thick beard.

He typically wears a woolly hat, navy blue jogging bottoms, black jacket and red and white trainers.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Ali should call police on 999 immediately.”
