The Bill actor George Rossi has died at the age of 60, his devastated family have confirmed.
Appearing on ITV, George played the character DC Duncan Lennox on the popular police drama.
The actor’s niece Louisa took to Twitter to announce the death of her uncle who she said was “acting still up until recently”.
George is survived by his wife Catrin and his two children.

Tributes have been pouring in from close friends and fans who took time to remember the much loved actor.
One close friend and casting director Claire Toeman expressed her condolences on Twitter in a touching post.
Claire wrote: “Rest in peace George Rossi you were the dearest of friends you will be sorely missed.”
While fan of the star expressed how they held memories of meeting George and labelling him a “legend.”
@iammozza wrote on Twitter: “I randomly bumped into George Rossi in London a few years back, what an absolute legend! Just spent 10 mins chatting about Sun Hill!”

George worked for his family’s ice cream business before pursuing his dreams of being an actor and training at East 15 Acting School.
He made his debut acting gig in 1984 movie Comfort & Joy, in which he starred alongside his brother Peter.
During his career, George also appeared in Taggart, Holby City, The Singing Detective and Whitechapel.
George made his debut in The Bill in 1993, and appeared in almost 200 episodes.
He left the show in 2003.
