Live: Great Northern updates after person hit by train between Welwyn Garden City and Stevenage

A person has died after being hit by a train in Hertfordshire.

British Transport Police were called to Welwyn North at 11.17am today (Thursday, January 6).

All lines are blocked between Welwyn and Stevenage while the emergency services work to deal with the incident.

It’s expected that journeys will take at least 90 minutes longer than usual.
