Kent Police Tactical Operations said officers attended Gatwick Airport in West Sussex on Friday. Gatwick Police assisted the force as they arrested a male.  Kent Police tweeted: “Officers from #PTT1 have today attended @Gatwick_Airport. With the assistance of @GatwickPolice arrested a male who has been wanted for sometime!” Kent Police told Express.co.uk they have enquired with the relevant investigators and await an update.

Gatwick Police wrote in a seperate tweet it was notified of an “adult wanted male” who had returned to the country on an inbound flight. 

They supported the officers Kent Police Tactical Operations to arrest the male.  

The force wrote: “We had notification that an adult wanted male was due back to the country on an inbound flight.

“We supported officers from @KPTacOps team who attended and arrested the male who was wanted for sometime.”

“Some flights may still experience delays and we advise you to check the status of your flight with your airline.”
